Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

i'm hard at work on a script for a full length movie.

i dont need good artists. in fact, i encourage the absolute worst to help me with this as long as we're able to imitate a very rough "cloth and candy" look. even if it means cutting up old dirty socks and glueing candy on it for some of the characters and record them via green screen. (im not kidding btw there will be a sock puppet monster in the story so if you got old socks and a green screen let me know)

i wasn't kidding about my comment to ~Insizwa here [link] lol

i need some horrible voice actors too. both males and females. even if you sound way off and cant be enthusiastic, that only adds to the terribleness that I'm aiming for.

i want to make a full 2 hour movie of yart quality crap, right down to the humor and style everything is drawn.

summer's coming. any kids with too much free time? unfortunately i work full time, and with 2083092180438210 projects already i cant take it on alone.

people will only be paid if the movie is sold, but the plan is to release it for free to the public via YouTube and torrent. there are no plans to make money off of it.

Sure! If you want, I think I can do some pretty bad voice-acting for you. I've been watching a lot of Dingo Pictures movies lately, so I've got some great inspiration for some bad voicework.

I have done stop motion before, but it takes excrutiating amount of time just to make 2-3 minutes of footage. So im pretty sure that's not the direction you want to take. Anyhow, ill consider signing up, if enough people are willing to do this.

I'd be down for some animating, it would be some good practice. Not sure how much free time I may have though since I may be making a movie with Steve, and I may also be living in the Arctic circle with no internet. I need to see what happens before I commit to anything, but it sounds pretty cool.
